Star Trek TNG: Episode 119 - Cause and Effect

"The Enterprise is severely damaged. The ship explodes, killing the entire crew."

If only that was it and the series was over. But alas, this episode is a rip off of Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray ... except this one has Kelsey Grammar in it. Honestly though, I really really enjoyed this one. It was fun and clever. I must say that I am getting tired of the crew constantly playing poker, in the future I guarantee Poker will not exist. It will be like people playing Jacks now, it just doesn't happen.

they should do an episode where everyone is hooked up to a VR unit and then the scene cuts to the virtual world...and they are all siting in data's room playing poker

The concept of poker in a society without money is a weird one. I enjoy playing poker, and I've tried arranging games with friends where we either play just for chips with no value, or for so little value it may as well be nothing.

It's not fun and it doesn't work. If there are no stakes, no risks, or no rewards, it's not poker.

Also, here are some other thoughts on poker: you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.

But I like this episode.

A Klingon penis is probably as sharp as a knife and has long barbs toward the tip.
