So now we find Odo on his home world along with Kira. His family is teaching him how to be a better shifter, while Kira wanders around and discovers a locked door. Which is weird because shapeshifters do not need doors.
Meanwhile Sisko discovers that the Federation is working on a treaty with the Dominion leaders that gives them control over the Bajoran Sector and over the wormhole ... in exchange for peace with everyone, accept for The Romulans. Sisko is outraged and puts together a mission that will send him, Garak, Dax, Bashir and O'Brien on a mission to collapse the wormhole. Which they do by shooting at it....seems way to easy right??
Kira brings Odo to the mysterious door. They go through and find a bunch of Jem'Hadar, along with the entire DS9 crew unconscious. What the hell is going on?? Well I'm going to tell you. Just calm the fuck down already. Seems that Odo's species are the leaders of the Dominion! Bet you didn't see that coming. The past few hours actually never happened, it was all an experiment being done on the crew to see how far they would go to avoid war with the Dominion. Odo is very saddened by this realization and asks for his friends to be released. Which his family obliges.
I really liked this story arch. It was action packed, great storyline and full of emotion. That being said, the ending sucked. It was all a virtual reality simulation!! Plus, I'm not sure what to make of the Dominion at this point. They are the kindest villains ever. It's like fighting a war against stoned out hippies. Whatever.
