Dax's symbiont starts breaking down and she begins to remember the past of her former host. A musician guy. Bashir and Sisko take her to get fixed by the Symbiont Commission. They end up uncovering a cover-up regarding Dax's former host being a murderer. That's sort of it. The episode goes a little bit deeper as to how the host-symbiont thing works, but I'm still very confused by it.
