Sisko is working with the Cardassians to get this communication link to work, but Kira is against because she believes in the prophecy. Throughout the entire episode everything about the prophecy seems to be coming true in relation to this Cardassian comm link.
There are two female Cardassian scientists working on the station. Evidently in Cardassian society women are good at science stuff and men are really dumb at it. So one of them has to work with O'Brien and she is really irritated...she is actually sort of hot and tries to seduce Miles. She wants to join the Miles high club ..................... *cough* so anyway, the entire prophecy comes true, but the outcome was misinterpreted. It actually ends up being a good thing, not destructive at all.
