Donald believe or not mugato and I have had that discussion on numerous occasions. My guess was that since the holodeck was for the whole crew it would be frowned upon if you used it for sex. It would be like letting someone use your computer without deleting browser history
If I had a holodeck I'd need it to be encrypted and hide behind several proxies also I'd install an automatic erase all files button...and then a button that would submerge the entire mainframe into a pool of water and some kind of giant magnet.

I think the holodeck was put in the starships so people could have sex. I think that was their sole intention.
Frowned upon? Far from it. It's expected. I'm guessing some kind of sanitizing beam scrubs the entire holodeck after each use.
