Enterprise: Epiusode 60 - TWILIGHT

"An anomaly causes Archer to lose his long-term memory. Much of the episode takes place in an alternate future after the destruction of Earth in which Archer (with the help of his caretaker T'Pol and Captain Tucker) seeks a way to correct the past."

Most confusing episode ever. Archer gets brain parasites, so they go 12 years into the future to find a cure (hence Capt. Tucker). Then they return to the their present time. I think??? I was expecting some nice vampires.

This actually sounds like it could be a neat idea for an episode, but while it sounds vaguely familiar, I can't for the life of me remember anything about it apart from the very general premise. How do they go back in time?

OK, I actually just rewatched this episode just to answer this question. And I STILL have no idea! From what I can tell, it actually seems like Archer just randomly wakes up in an alternate timeline. In the end Archer implodes to Enterprise in order to kill these parasites and this returns him to the correct timeline. It makes no sense.

Remember that episode of DS9 where Jake is an old man who has to save his father from being stuck in time? Now THAT was a good episode.
